GAC drama drama students took Snoopy the Musical to Columbus, Georgia this month to compete against 19 schools at the Georgia Theatre Conference for the honor of representing our state at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in March, 2010.  What did they come home with you ask?  The Best Play in the competition!

In addition to the ensemble’s win, Aaron Joseph received recognition for his role as Charlie Brown by being named to the All-Star Cast, and Hannah Harte was honored as Best Actress for her role as Peppermint Patty.

This marks the 8th time that Director Clif Jones and his students have won the Best Play at the Georgia Theatre Conference.  No other school in the state has won this many times. These eight GTC wins, combined  with 12 GHSA state championships bring the GAC theatre department to a total of 20 state titles.

Snoopy the Musical will compete again November 6th at the 6AA Regional One Act Play competition at Buford High School. Congratulations to the entire cast of Snoopy the Musical and to Theatre Director Clif Jones.
