GAC Does Mag Selling Right!

October 12, 2009

2009 GACS Magazine Sale Grand Total: The late turn-ins have been collected and it is time to announce our final grand total for the 2009 magazine sale–$577,707.72. Congratulations to the entire GAC school community for this outstanding accomplishment.  In addition to maintaining our status as National Champions, GAC is also the top school fro internet sales in 2009 ($135,076.00).

Mr. Burton’s earlier quote is worth repeating. GAC Vice-President Bill Burton: “Our targeted projects this year will be to enhance technological improvements K-12 and to further ‘green’ the campus, both in terms of campus beautification and more eco-friendly infrastructure. In addition, we will be making a $10,000 donation to the GAC missions fund to be able to send students on mission trips who might not have been able to afford to go otherwise.  If we break the school-wide goal of $285 per person, we have also pledged to donate $5,000 of the additional proceeds to the 410 Bridge program in Kenya, the home of the Daraja Children’s Choir that recently performed on campus.”

“FUN-Raising” Helps GACS and Others

September 14, 2009

The 39th annual GACS magazine sale kicked off Friday, September 11, 2009.  New students should be forewarned, as next week is the craziest and most fun week of the school for many of us here at GAC! We are known throughout the country as the nation’s #1 selling school.

This year’s baseline goal is $285 dollars on average per person, which
is a grand total of $550,000 for our school.

If we reach the school-wide baseline goal, there will be a “magazine sale reward day” on Thursday December 17. The final 3 exam half days would be moved back to Monday –Wednesday, December 14-16 in Junior High and High School.

But we don’t want you think the magazine sale is another boring fundraising event. We hope you’ll participate in the “fun-raising” on campus through Monday, September 22. Let the FUN-raising begin!
