The Spartan Spear-it student newspaper is now accepting applications for next school year. There are so many exciting aspects to what we do now in digital and print newspaper journalism. Check us out! It might be a perfect fit for you!  Print out the application, follow the directions, and submit your materials by March 10th!

Chelsea Mitchell, Senior

Chelsea Mitchell, senior, is a first year Spear-It staff member. She is active in the drama program, and her favorite class is Latin.

Rebecca McLean, Senior

My name’s Rebecca. I’m 16 years old and I’m a very enthusiastic senior! My favorite movie is Grease and I love the bands U2 and The White Stripes. I’ve been a swimmer since I was six. I also love to dance although I’m horrible at it. I was born in California but we moved to Georgia when I was six. My parents are from Scotland and it’s my favorite place although I really love London, too! There are lots of places I hope to visit in my lifetime. This is my second year on the Spartan Spear It staff and I’m very excited about it this year!

Mrs.  Perkins is advising this premier digital, high school newspaper at GACS. She and her staff are very excited about the possibilities of publishing to our own school community as well as to a global stage!
