The GACs Gold Dance Team performed well at the Georgia High School State Dance Championship.

On Sunday, November 16th, the GACS GOLD Dance Team walked into the 2014 GHSSDC (Georgia High School State Dance Championship). The gold team brought 2 group dances and 2 solos to this year’s competition including a lyrical dance named “Oceans”, a pom routine named “Overcomer”, Nicole Smartt’s solo to “I’m the Greatest Star”, and Natalie Colehower’s solo to “Blackbird”. The Dance Team has held a 1st place state title in the Performing Arts division for 3 years running, and continues to keep that title this year.

Here are the results:

3rd Place Overall
1st place Performing Arts Division with “Oceans”
2nd place Dance Team Division, Pom with “Overcomer”
5th place Solo Division, Natalie Colehower with “Blackbird”

This was only the first competition of many, and there are more awards to come.
