Spartan Stadium was sloped towards whichever end zone the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans were trying to score on Friday September 30.

Greater Atlanta Christian Spartan Junior, Trey Morrison returned the opening kickoff 95 yards to open up the scoring for both teams. The only score of the game for the Fannin County “Runnin Rebels” came from a long 60 yard run.

The 7-7 score was the only time the game was close. After the long touchdown run, the Spartans amped up the intensity and dominated Fannin County.

The Spartans offense shared the love between Junior running backs, Kyler McMichael and Alex Boglin. The Spartans also shared the love between receivers as multiple receivers collected huge yardage and touchdowns.

The Spartan’s offense wasn’t the only good thing for the Spartans. On the other side of the ball, the defense played spectacularly as well. The Spartans only allowed 10 points the whole game. Both sides not only played great, but dominated Fannin County. The Spartans size, speed, and physicality was to much for the runnin’ rebels.

Coach Tim Hardy said, “the field seemed to be tilted towards the Spartan end zone. It was a fun game time and always good to dominate a football game.”

Looking forward to next week, the Spartans are playing East Hall at East Hall. It will be a trek for the Spartan Nation, but they will surely go and play there best. Senior lineman, Cam Osley said, “it’s going to be a long way, but we are going to go and play our football and play it well.”
